Is plastic a curse for us?

Every year, over one trillion plastic bags are used worldwide; this means millions per minute! This plastic refuse kills over one billion mammals and seabirds per year, as well as hundreds of thousands of marine animals, who either ingest the plastic or get suffocated by it.

The curse of plastic also affects humans in a tremendously negative way; by clogging our drains, littering our pristine beaches, parks, rivers, roads, choking our landfills, and serving indefinitely as sore reminders of our wasteful consumption habits. Furthermore, the polyethylene material in these plastic bags is not biodegradable; its components release toxic substances into the soil. Is this enough of a reason to curb our use of plastic? Or you want more disasters.....

How does Needs@Home help?

At Needs@Home we work to minimize plastic usage. We deliver the groceries and vegetables in cloth bags instead of plastic bags. At this time we are looking at different cost effective options to package the grocery items using alternates for plastic.

How can you help?

Please do hand over the cloth bags that we use for deliveries

If you cannot return them at the time of delivery, please do so at the time of next order taking or delivery

To serve you better and minimize the cost, we will charge for lost bags
